he says, "I love
the way you write."
and i wonder to myself
if this is what it truly means to love
and i close my eyes
and let his words
work their way through my mind
and i begin to think
while laying in his arms
i've seen and smelled lilacs
in the master bedroom
though none were there
and i begin to think
with his love
maybe one day
i will compose a poem
worth reading

Truncated L-o-v-e
Something of you we share
long after you're gone
How do I know?
TRUST ME
I've been here before
L-o-v-e
is here to stay
It's a continuum...
a progression of life
to yet again get it right
Not a do over as some
would have you believe
but rather an eternal stage
where to be or not to be
is not the question
Wherefore ~
The Bard is quoted as having said
This you should pity rather than despise
