connected since our union was blessed
in heaven before time began
i listen to the wind waiting
to hear him whisper my name
sometimes other men have
stepped into his shadow
tricking my heart into believing they're Him
but my soul always reveals the truth
My Him is awaiting me somewhere else
so here i sit in the center of this poem
waiting for the words to come
to release the energy 
of the thoughts on my mind
crisp and clear the visions
his form beautiful in the light
come with me, my love, on this write
hold my syllables in your strong hands
tickle my lines with your fingertips
press my verse against your sweet lips
touch the moon inside this poem
the stanzas warm against your skin
lay back and let yourself feel
the ink in me heat and flow

lying here in the glow of your lyrics
a pillow of poems under my head
let the lines that are written
scribe the scent of your verse on my skin
